V koloniji Rdečega križa | At the Red Cross Camp

Na Vranskem je nekdaj delovala kolonija Rdečega križa. Tam sva v sedemdesetih letovali tudi midve s sestro. Na obisku je moj oče fotografiral otroke in vzgojiteljice pred bazenom. Natanko čez prizorišče veselega prizora na fotografiji danes teče avtocesta. Njene zametke sem odkrila leta 1995, ko sem se po naključju spet znašla na Vranskem. Na območju tedaj že opuščenega letovišča sem našla označevalne količke za avtocestno traso. Deset let kasneje sem za natančno identifikacijo lokacije iz fotografije potrebovala pomoč okoliških prebivalcev.

The Red Cross used to organize summer camps for children at Vransko. Also my sister and I used to go there in the 1970s. When he came to visit, my father took a photograph of us children and the counselors by the pool. Passing right over the site of the happy scene in the picture there is a highway now. I happened upon it in its incipient stages in 1995, when I chanced to go to Vransko. On the by then abandoned campsite I found the posts marking the future highway layout. Ten years later, I needed the help of the local inhabitants to identify with precision the exact spot in the photograph.
